Onsite Equine Veterinarian
One of the unique aspects of Little Tree Horse Retirement is that it is owned and operated by an onsite equine veterinarian. This allows us to better care for each individual animal, as well as to manage the herd as a whole. Having a trained eye overseeing the horses allows us to catch potential problems early and address medical issues before they become emergencies.
Dr. Alison LaCarrubba
When emergencies do occur, we are fortunate to be able to respond immediately and provide necessary care with a personal touch. Many of the horses we take care of coming to us because of previous medical issues. As a Board Certified Equine Practitioner, Dr. Alison LaCarrubba is able to monitor, and treat these issues, allowing the horses to lead a more comfortable and healthy life in retirement. Dr. LaCarrubba is also currently employed with the University of Missouri-Columbia.
